Year 5 had the amazing opportunity to visit the world famous Royal Observatory in Greenwich. Home of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), the Prime Meridian of the world and London’s Planetarium.
They spent the day enjoying the unspoilt views across London before participating in various workshops about the Earth, Sun and Moon. The highlight of the visit was the Planetarium where children watched and listened to a presentation about the solar system. Starting from our home planet, the Earth, children travelled through our celestial neighbourhood, visiting planets, moons, asteroids and more!
