It is my pleasure to introduce you to our wonderful school… Stratford Manor really is a special place to be.
Stratford Manor School is a very happy, caring and supportive school that has the children at the heart of all that we do. We have a great team of teachers and support staff that work really hard to ensure that all the children make good progress and have the best possible primary education experience. Our aim is that every child reaches their potential, and is well-equipped when they leave Stratford Manor, and are able to continue achieving throughout secondary school and beyond. We are forward-thinking and provide an ambitious curriculum that is both stimulating and challenging. It is designed to meet the specific needs of our children in our community, and is underpinned by our school motto ‘Championing a Brighter Future for All’.
We believe that close cooperation between home and school is absolutely essential, and aim to keep parents as informed as possible about the progress their children are making, the methods we use to teach the children, and ways in which they can support their children’s learning. The Stratford Manor community is vibrant, and very multi-cultural; we value and celebrate the diversity of cultures and religious beliefs within the school – this makes us Stratford Manor.
We have high expectations of all our staff and pupils. The behaviour of pupils is very good, and we focus a lot on developing each child’s ability to understand and improve their own learning skills. We provide a wide range of opportunities for children to involve themselves in the wider life of the school, and to take responsibility for aspects of school life.
We have worked hard to make our 3 storey Victorian building and playground a welcoming and vibrant environment. We think that children learn best in bright and stimulating surroundings, and to this end we place a big emphasis on high quality displays and engaging learning areas. The classrooms and halls are colourful and dynamic and clearly celebrate the excellent work taking place throughout the school. We have an open plan learning environment to maximise the learning spaces.
We have an excellent community feel here – with enthusiastic and responsive children and committed staff and supportive families. We celebrate this by running a wide range of events designed to bring the community together. The school is reflective, and is always looking to improve further, and we are really proud of the school and what it provides. I am looking forward to continuing to move the school forward, with the support of our dedicated staff, parents and of course, our amazing children.
I hope that you find the website informative. Our aim is to make sure that it gives a real flavour of the school. If you have any questions about the school or would like to visit us, then please get in touch.
