Admissions

The staff, governing body and pupils of Manor Primary School and Nursery would welcome you applying for a place at our school.  To do this you must follow the correct process for your child’s age as detailed below. We’re happy to offer you any support that you require.

We are a school maintained by the London Borough of Newham which means they are the admission authority for this school so manage the admissions process. Our current published admission number is 60 per year group. All applications for this school must be made through London Borough of Newham’s Pupil Services – we cannot take applications for school places directly. However, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school via 020 8534 2238 or emailing contact@manor.newham.sch.uk. If you are looking for a nursery place for your child, our nursery provision is for 3 and 4 year olds – 30 hours free provision is available for eligible families. Please contact the school directly for nursery places.

Primary School Key Dates: Closing Date for Reception Applications (2021) is 15th January 2022. Offers will be made on 19th April 2022.

Apply for a place in reception for children born from 1 September 2017 to 31 August 2018. Even if your child goes to our nursery, you will need to apply for a reception space.

All reception 2022 applications must be made through the family’s home local authority. For children living in Newham families must apply via London Borough of Newham. For children living outside Newham, whose family wants them to attend this school their application must be made through their home borough naming this school as a preference on their application.

Please remember, parents/carers must apply for a reception place in this school, even if the child has a brother or sister already attending our school. Before submitting a reception application we strongly recommend all families read the Autumn 2021 edition of the local authority’s We are going to school guide and find out information about the school you are interested in.

  • School places are usually offered within 10 days.
  • The place offered may not be at the school the family prefers as that school may not have a suitable place available.
