After at two-week intensive course, Years 3 and 5 have completed their latest round of
swimming lessons. The children have been so fortunate to experience the London Aquatic Centre, first opened to host the London Olympics ten years ago. Our final lesson saw us walk past Olympic champion Tom Daley, but unfortunately we couldn’t get a photo! For many of the children, this was their first time ever being in a swimming pool and a few were very nervous at first. However, by the end of the course, every single child has made huge progress due to their determination, courage and ‘can do’ attitude. It has been great to see how the children have become more confident at swimming and water safety.
We would like to thank the excellent swimming teachers who worked with the children to support them achieve the best! Thank you. Swimming is an excellent family activity and an essential life skill. The Aquatic Centre is open to the public and parents can sign children up for swimming lessons – please contact the centre for further information.
