Year 5 and 6 had the amazing opportunity to spend the day at the University of East London (UEL) on Wednesday 17th November. Children spent time talking to student ambassadors about life at university and what it takes to get into higher education.
They spent the rest of the morning participating in various sporting activities. The highlight of the day was in the afternoon when children watched a competitive live volleyball match between UEL and the Essex Blades.
They really enjoyed the day, and were full of stories about sports that they had tried. It is good to be able to take the children to a university, and get them starting to think about what they want to do when they are older, and what the possibilities are..
