This week Year 1 went on an adventure to the centre of London to visit Buckingham Palace. We have been reading a book all about the Queen and her guards and we were so inspired and interested we had to go and see them for ourselves. We watched the Changing of the Guards. It was so exciting to see the guards marching and listen to the band playing. We even had the chance to speak with a police inspector who told us all about how the guards move and where they go. The guards were marching in their grey coats and the cavalry rode past on their horses. It was a fantastic trip and it made our story come to life!
