On your marks, get set… Go!
Today, twenty Four of our Year 5 and 6 students participated in a cycling workshop at the Lee Valley VeloPark with British Cycling.
Our budding cyclists got the chance to ride a bike in the middle of the track that Team GB famously won 8 gold medals in 2012 at the Velodrome in the Queen Elizabeth II Olympic Park.
They started off by riding their bike up and over a ramp and through an obstacle course. Moving onto different cycling games and activities, they then finished off with a 2 person race to find out our Stratford Manor cycling champion.
This was a once in a lifetime opportunity in which the children will never forget.
