As part of our ongoing work as a Rights Respecting School we support UNICEF’s Day for Change each year. Over the last couple of years we have raised well over £4000 which is an amazing achievement. The School Council worked hard to help organise a range of activities – trying to combine some old favourites with some new ideas.
The children were invited to come in traditional dress of a particular country or a costume that represents a country or Unicef’s work.
The School Council ran a special Tuck Shop at breaktime. Children brought in small change and used this in art projects in the classroom. All of the classes spent time during the day learning about the work that Unicef does to help children all over the world.
Each class undertook a fundraising activity to raise money.

Watch this space to see how much they all raised! It was a very busy day, and a lovely way to end the half term. Thank you to the School Council and the staff who helped to organise the day. As soon as we have counted the money we will let you know how much we raised.
