Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in an Enterprise Project, organised by Young Enterprise. The project was also expanded to include a persuasive writing unit.
The children worked in groups of 6 and were provided with £5 per pupil to create a business, market it, order products and materials and host a stall at the very successful ‘Manor Enterprise Market’. Children and their parents were invited to take part in games to win prizes and buy a whole range of products including: personalised stationery; a great collection of key rings; a range of jewellery; games such as hoop the bottle and tin can alley; pots of ‘home-made’ slime; toys including the very popular water toys and the shoot the ball in the hoop game to win a football.
“The playground is so exciting, there’s so much to do!”
“I can’t believe how quickly our slime sold out!”
The profit raised by the Year 5 and 6 children is to be used on new play equipment for break time and lunchtimes.
