Consultation on proposed academy conversion

Update: 11th February 2019

The Governing Board of Manor Primary and the Learning in Harmony Trust have mutually agreed to cease the consultation for Manor to become an academy and join Learning in Harmony. We do believe that joining the trust would have been of great benefit to the whole Manor community but we do also understand the genuine concerns expressed by staff and some parents.

Governors recognise that there is a need to strengthen links and collaboration between schools in order to achieve the very best for our children. We will, together with the staff, continue to look for ways to achieve this. There are a number of different ways for schools to work together and the governors will be exploring these over the coming months.  After half term, we plan to organise a parental engagement session to get your views on the future of the school.

The governors are proud to be part of the Manor family. We look forward to continuing to support the school in our role as strategic leaders. We do this in line with our ethos of Community, Determination, Excellence, Responsibility and Respect.

The Governing Board of Manor Primary School is consulting on a proposal for the school to convert to academy status and join the Learning in Harmony Trust.

The Governing Board is consulting with the school’s parents, carers, staff and wider community. The consultation period runs between Monday, January 28th and Friday, March 1st, 2019

We have uploaded the consultation document, which sets out the reasons for the proposal, the benefits of the proposal and how it will affect the school. It also explains how the consultation will be managed.

Please let us know if you would like any help with these documents as there are a lot of languages spoken by school staff.
